Power Add-On for dancers

Several selected classes will occasionally include the use of light ankle weights for modified exercises to give more power and control. It adds a constant but comfortable restistance. The exercises are rather controlled there is no jumping and it’s always a short part of the class. The use of ankle weights is optional.

Power Add-On at the Barre

Approximately once a month there will be small ankle weights available in the class on Saturday for custom exercises at the barre. This additional training is only useful if you train at least twice a week. Suitable for adults and students from age 14 and older.

Mini Strenght Training

During the Fast Forward class small light ankle weights are occasionally used for a controlled mini workout on the floor prior to the Stamina Barre. The use of ankle weights is suitable for adults and students from age 14 and older.

FOR VIRTUAL STUDENTS If you are following the Saturday class or the F.F. class online you can order your own Ankle Weights on Tunturi.com or Bol.com
The maximum weight that is allowed is 0,5 kg. Heavier weights are not suitable. We use weights made from neoprene as this holds up well to sweat and moisture.

“Ballet should never look predictable. When you dance each move you make is a promise. Even when standing in preparation you are making a promise that there is a story to be told”
